Dr Pimple Popper squeezes out Barb’s huge heart-shaped lipoma in ‘risky’ procedure

Dr Pimple Popper loves her food analogies for the contents of her patient’s cysts and lipomas, however, she didn’t even have to open Barb’s lump before finding a commonality to an object, as it was shaped like a heart.

The TLC show is off-air for now, so while we wait patiently for a new season announcement, let’s throw it back to when Dr Pimple Popper removed the heart-shaped lump from Barb’s back.

Dr Pimple Popper patient Barb has heart-shaped lump on her back

Barb is 57 years old and has a large heart-shaped lump on her back, which she’s had for around 8-9 years.

At first, she says it was the size of “a peach or a plum”. However, it’s now across her whole back, as she says it’s the size of a “large cantaloupe.”

She says it’s very uncomfortable and feels like jelly. It’s placed right on her spine, down the middle of her back, which she says concerns her.

Like many of Dr Sandra Lee‘s patients, she has visited a doctor before, who told her it was a lipoma. However, Barb ignored it as she thought it was “extra back fat.”

She’s now lost 113lbs, and thought her bump would shrink down, however, that was not the case. In fact, it started to grow and get even bigger.

The 57-year-old visits Dr Pimple Popper’s office so she can examine the lipoma, and upon seeing it Sandra calls it an “upside down heart.” “Or a butcheek,” the patient laughs.

Because of its unique shape, and placement, Dr Pimple Popper is concerned about the lipoma. However, she’s ready to boss the removal, as always.

Taking to the surgery bed, the TLC doctor measures Barb’s lump, discovering it’s a whole 17cm wide.

Sandra then proceeds to make an incision into the lipoma, to see what’s inside.

She then begins to pull the squelching lipoma out, hoping she can “get him out whole.” As the lipoma was located on the spine, the doctor was careful to not damage any nerves around the spine, which could cause more compilations.

After a while of tugging and pulling, the lipoma is finally released, and the upside down heart is gone!

The two then joke the removed contents look like a butterfly. “It turned from a buttcheek to a butterfly,” the patient joked.

Of course, Sandra had to weigh the lipoma at the end which came in at just under 3lb!
