Schwartz ‘almost broken’ by Scandoval during ‘warrior’ brother’s cancer fight

As Vanderpump Rules makes its hugely anticipated return to Bravo, fans are about to see the cast’s reaction to Scandoval. James Kennedy, Katie Maloney, Lala Kent, and co are all returning for season 11. As the co-stars catch up, Tom Schwartz explains the year “almost broke him” as he dealt with some difficult news about his brother.

Questions of “accountability” are rising among fans as Tom tells Page Six of his feelings of being “belittled” and his reason for cheating being “low self-worth.” Meanwhile, Raquel Leviss, who’s no longer a Vanderpump Rules cast member, is letting loose of her podcast. On Rachel Goes Rogue she breaks down her thoughts on the scandal outside of the Bravo show.

Tom Schwartz brothers

Vanderpump Rules star Tom hails from Woodbury, Minnesota, USA.

He’s one of four children born to Kimberly and William Schwartz.

His siblings are triplets William, Robert, and Brandon, and their sister, Natalie Schwartz, writes Life and Style.

Judging by the family’s Instagram posts together, the Schwartz’s remain very close despite their parents getting a divorce in 2012.

Tom’s year ‘almost broke’ him

As well as dealing with the fall-out of Scandoval, Schwartz also got divorced in the same year and added he had a lot of “bar woes” at Schwartz and Sandy’s.

He describes the drama as a “radioactive cherry on my s**t sundae of a year,” during season 11.

Schwartz expressed how he felt resentment towards his best pal Tom given the huge negative effect the scandal had on their business.

He explained he also received news his brother, Brandon, was “having some serious health issues,” which had been ongoing for some time.

How is his brother now?

Tom’s brother has been living with cancer for some time, with the Vanderpump Rules star opening up to Bravo about his sibling’s health in May last year.

Last December, Bravo reported Brandon was “recently diagnosed with testicular cancer.”

Tom’s brother is described as a “warrior” by some fans commenting on his posts.

Speaking to People in November last year, Tom said his brother had thankfully “rebounded,” adding:

“I’m just so grateful that everyone is healthy and stable right now… I know it can’t last forever, but I’m savoring the moment.”

Taking to Instagram in late January, Brandon shared an adorable photo of a dog captioned: “Love you river, thanks for being my friend.”
